Elks Care
The Jackson Elks Lodge 1713 Scholarship is generously supported through the Lodge’s Wednesday Night Community Bingo events.
Lodge members, along with its guests, gather at the Lodge every Wednesday night throughout the winter months to play bingo game after bingo game. It’s a fun and community-focused way for our Lodge to raise money for its scholarship offerings. 100% of the Lodge’s net Bingo proceeds are restricted to funding scholarships in Teton County, WY.
Eligibility
Any child or grandchild of a member of Jackson Hole Elks Lodge #1713 is eligible to apply.
The living Elk must be a contiguous, dues-paying Elk through March 31, 2026. An applicant's Elk parent or grandparent must be a paid-up member in good standing at the time of application, but if the Elk chooses not to renew membership, that decision will not affect the scholarship contest outcome.
If the applicant’s family member is deceased, the lodge secretary can confirm prior membership affiliation.
If the applicant's parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must select the parent's Elks Lodge on the application.
An adopted child is eligible; however, a stepchild is not eligible.
The applicant must be a high school senior.
Scholarship Awards may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges, or universities.
The Lodge scholarship committee has full discretion and the final decision regarding satisfaction of this requirement.
If you have questions about your online application, contact the Scholarship Committee at scholar1713@gmail.com
Dispersment
The Lodge will disperse funds directly to the university or college. Monies may be split between the academic institution and an established 529 Plan in the name of the student.
The student may also present to the Lodge a proposal for dispersing funds. The Lodge may provide limited information to guide a student in obtaining a 529 Plan.
